DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS DIRECTIONS
Google will take you down Bryant Farms Road which has a gate that does not allow entrance to the community. You must use Big Ben Road. Big Ben Road is a gravel mountain road. For those who are unfamiliar these roads can be intimidating the first time. I would suggest arriving in the daylight so that you can familiarize yourself with the route in optimal conditions. The drive does not require four wheel drive. If you are renting a car, an SUV is the better choice. However, you can get to the property in a Prius. Just take it slow the first time and you will be fine. By the second time up the mountain, you won't give it a thought. It is all part of the mountain adventure. The drive through the woods is also incredibly beautiful once you know where you are going.
The entrance to the community is located on the west side of Boardtown Road.
The entrance has a bank of mailboxes to the left and a sign on to the right that reads “Double Knob Mountain”.
Turn into the community and proceed down Big Ben Road. See photo below.
At the first intersection, keep right to continue on Big Ben Road.
The road will not be visible upon initial approach as you can see in the first photo (see below.)
Continue over the hill as shown in the second photo.
Continue to your right on Big Ben Road around the U bend.
At the 2nd intersection, continue right to stay on Big Ben Road.
At the 3rd intersection, turn left onto Highland Road.
Continue straight up the hill. The house is on the left. There is a sign at the front that says “Overlook Nook”.
There is an upper and lower driveway. Pull into the upper driveway that leads into the front porch entry.
